Resources

There is no shortage of resources on the Bair Hugger products.

1. solutions.3m.com
Official 3M site which provides an overview of the Bair Hugger System with links to individual lines of the blankets and warming systems for different settings.

There are also pages dedicated to their other brands and products. I had no idea that 3M had so many products.

2. www.fawfacts.com
FAW facts is a website dedicated to forced air warming. It is focused on clinicians, surgeons and infection prevention specialists, and hospital administrators, but still has a lot of information on forced air warming with tests to back up their data.

3. www.truthaboutbairhugger.com

The Truth about Bair Hugger website seems to be focused on Bair Hugger warming systems being safe and effective in hospital settings for use with surgery patients.

From what I can gather, the Bair Hugger has come under scrutiny by its original creator which has sparked some legal conversations and safety questions.

I found the videos to be useful in understanding how the air flows onto and around a patient and the operating room during use.

4. www.bairhuggerfacts.com
The Bair Hugger facts website is similar to the truth about website above, but it seems that they aim to speak to patients instead of administrators.

Of the websites, I found this one the most helpful to gaining a basic understanding of how the forced air warming technology works.

3M claims that Bair Hugger is the first forced air warming system of its kind. I am a brand loyalist and I've never known 3M to put out a bad product, the same way I've never known Kodak to put out a bad product.
